Abilitie offers certification options for client-internal facilitation teams and partners that want to join our global faculty.
Abilitie’s Certification Process
Becoming certified in Abilitie’s world-renowned simulations is an investment in your future as an educator. Unlike other certifications, we offer one-on-one coaching with a master facilitator that allows you to learn as the participants do – hands-on, through experience and under the expert guidance of a master facilitator.
Being an Abilitie certified facilitator is not for everyone. Our simulations are not simple exercises and debriefing them cannot be learned by reading a script – that’s what makes our simulations first-in-class! Before you embark on the exciting journey of becoming a certified Abilitie facilitator and join our distinguished faculty, make sure that you:

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the qualifications needed to go through the certification program?
Abilitie works interactively with our clients to identify the right individuals to teach an Abilitie program at internal client programs. At the highest level, an ideal candidate is a dynamic speaker with a Socratic teaching style, subject matter expertise in leadership and business acumen, and 5+ years teaching experience in the corporate classroom.
What is the teach-back component?
You will be working for eight hours with a master facilitator to hone your facilitation skills. You will be teaching components of the simulation and the master facilitator will provide you with feedback during those eight hours.
Will there be a test associated to earn the certification ‘badge’ or title?
There is no official test associated with this certification. However, in order to become officially certified and be able to display the badge on your LinkedIn page, the master facilitator will have to ‘sign-off’ on the fact that you are both well versed in the simulation technology, comfortable with the complexities of the competition, and able to deliver socratic debriefs that are not following a linear script. Should there be challenges, we will work with you to figure out how we can accomplish the goal of certification.
How long does the certification last?
The certification requires you to attend a half-day faculty re-certification workshop each year. As long as you attend this workshop, your certification will not expire.
I am not with an organization and am interested in getting certified to expand my own skills. Can I become certified as an individual?
